I saw this guy in Costco yesterday, he was really buff and had his shirt tucked in and shiny dress shoes and gelled faux-hawked hair and a wide-cuff watch with grommets in it and was smiling whilst reading a text on his razr phone. I was nauseated.
Jennifer Aniston was on Oprah on Monday looking so skinny and wounded yet talked about how she is fine and great and "really well," and then Oprah talked about what REALLY happened at Hermes, and then
Oprah revealed what she *personally* is doing for the hurricane victims (10 million dollars of her OWN money, standing ovation, even though that's like what one dollar is to you and me), and THEN she said she and creepy Stedman added three new bundles of joy to their family and it showed her holding a squirmy puppy wrapped in swaddling clothes!
On Friday night I dropped David off at a screenwriting conference in the U District and on the way back I drove down the street with all the sororites and fraternities and rush was going on and all these girls were standing in front of houses all dressed up, and I was flooded with semi-unpleasant memories of doing that same thing ten years ago. Really weird.
