I was cleaning out my in-box at work and found this from my friend Ryan:

Do you ever watch 7th Heaven? There was the funniest episode on yesterday! It was about disrespecting women. There were these punk kids (all white) who were listening to rap music. In the minds of the Camdens, rap music disrespects women...some, yes. But in their minds rap music also equals baggy clothes, thick metal chains and beanies. Then at one point in the show, the white gangstas started to hassle Annie Camden. You can be sure that there was no respect there. They be disrespectin' Mrs. Camden. But she took care of the situation by pounding the cardigan she was wearing and said, "You want a piece of this?!" Bad ass.

Then later in the show Simon, sporting some baggy jeans, steps into the kitchen with Eric.

Eric: Where did you get those pants?
Simon: They're Matt's old pants.
Eric: Well, they're too big for you.
Simon: Dad, everyone's wearing their pants like this now.
Eric: Simon, do you know where that fashion started?...in jail. I promise you, you keep wearing your jeans like that, you'll end up in jail.

I nearly leaped out of my seat. A plus B does not equal C. I can't wait for the episode about real BLACK THUGS talkin' wit their pearl tongues, gittin' up on Simon's face and all come to Whiteyville just to pound on all their white-bread asses. I pay them dirt.

Keep it real,
ry
